(1)水蚤的培養
水應先除氯，並放入大量細菌、藻類、及有機物碎屑等，作為水蚤的餌料。最適合人工大量培養的水溫為攝氏18~25度，ph值7.5~8.5，水溶氧充足，放入適量乳酸飲料（養樂多、優酪乳）或豆漿作為基肥，每立方公尺放入水蚤30克以上為宜，視水蚤繁殖數量，每日或隔日撈取，若水蚤繁殖數量減少，則應暫停撈取，視水色酌予追肥。在水蚤繁殖旺盛時期，可將過多的水蚤撒在地上或玻璃板上曬乾，再裝入塑膠袋中冷凍或乾燥的室內保存；或置於無氯的缸水中，施以打氧或換水，可維持水蚤存活數天。
(2)草履蟲的培養
草履蟲是金魚幼魚期不可或缺的天然餌料，培養方式是將煮沸的稻草及稻草湯，倒入培養缸，再加滿自來水，浸泡數天後，草履蟲即自然繁殖出來，若在培養缸加入乳酸菌、牛奶或豆漿，則可縮短繁殖時間。注意營養劑應潑灑均勻，防止有機物沉入缸底，若草履蟲吃不到，將使水質惡化，造成草履蟲缺氧死亡。若見培養缸的水面出現一層灰色霧狀懸浮物，即為稱為灰水的草履蟲，撈出經沖洗後即可餵魚。
(3)麵包蟲的培養
麵包蟲蟲體細長，呈米黃色，體表光滑，頭部有硬殼，行動緩慢。餌料以麵包、麥麩及蔬菜為主食。在生長發育階段須經卵孵出幼蟲，經2~3個月的成長，即蛻變成蛹；再經15天後，蛹蛻掉外殼及變成黑色的成蟲；黑色成蟲飼養一週後可進行較長時間的產卵活動。人工飼養繁殖的溫度應控制在攝氏25度，飼養容器可用玻璃缸或塑膠容器，內放蔬菜、吐司麵包或麥麩，麵包蟲即可在容器中迅速成長，但應定期清理糞便及更換餌料，以保持容器內清潔衛生及餌料的新鮮。
1.cyclops
Remove the chlorine first, then put a great deal of gems, algae, organic stuffs…etc. as for the bait to cyclops. The best temp is 18-25 degree centigrade, and ph 7.5-8.5 with sufficient oxygen. Add appropriate acidophilus beverages or soybean milk for fertilization, then putting 30 gm cyclops per square meter. Base on the breeding quantity, gain back the cyclops everyday or every next day.
If the cyclops breeding becomes diminished quantity, just hold to gain back the cyclops. Fertilize water based on the pouring out of watercolor. During the abundantly breeding, just gain out the cyclops on to floor or glass plate and get sun baking, then refrigerate them or put them in the arid room. Or, put the cyclops into the non-chlorine water with having oxygen or change water method to let cyclops alive a few more days.
2.paramecium
Paramecium is a necessary natural food for every goldfish. Put the boiling straw soups into the tank, add full tank of water. After soak a few days, the paramecium naturally breeding in the water. Adding appropriate acidophilus beverages or soybean milk would reduce the breeding time. Make sure the nutrition is spraying in well mixed, and prevent the organic stuffs entering into the base of breeding tank. If the paramecium does not have enough organic stuffs, the water quality would become worse, then the paramecium would be death.
When the breeding tank appears gray layer, it is called gray paramecium, gain back them to feed goldfish.
3.bread bug
The body of bread bug is tall and slender, cream color, glossy body, helmet head, with slow moving. The baits for this bug is bread, wheat bran, and vegetables. During the growing period, there is necessary to have the brood eggs for getting larva. After 2 ~ 3 months the lava has qualitative change to be pupa. And, the pupa would turn to be black imago by molting off its shell after 15 days.
The imago could be laying eggs for long time after the shell molt off one week. The temp should be 25 degree C for human breeding. The breeding tank could make with glass or plastic. Put the vegetables, bread, or wheat bran would be able to let the bread bug rapidly grow up. But, there is necessary to clean up the excrements and change the baits by keeping clean and healthy environment and fresh baits.
